About Us

Moving Wake County Forward is a broad-based committee dedicated to creating a modern public transportation system that relieves traffic congestion, grows our economy, and provides new and better transportation options for everyone.

The committee has launched a campaign in support of the upcoming referendum to fund the approved, bipartisan Wake County Transit Plan. The referendum will be located at the very end of the upcoming November 8 ballot.

The campaign’s co-chairs include Mayor Mark Stohlman of Morrisville, Mayor James Roberson of Knightdale, Dr. Tashni-Ann Dubroy of Shaw University, and John Kane of Kane Realty. The campaign has also been endorsed by over 75 organizations and businesses, including eight local chambers of commerce.
